Nylon insert lock nuts (also known as nylocks) are a threaded hex nuts with nylon insert collars that resist turning. The plastic nylon is placed at the end of the nut. When tightened, the nylon portion locks into the threads of the screws, but does not get cut, allowing the nylon nut to be reused.
We offer the nylon insert lock nut in many different sizes and materials. We carry them in NE and NM (standard pattern), NTE and NTM (thin pattern), NTU (thin heavy pattern), and NU (heavy pattern) in inch sizes. In metric, we carry Din 985 and ISO 7040.
