What are nylon lock nuts?

Nylon insert lock nuts (also known as nylocks) are a threaded hex nuts with nylon insert collars that resist turning. The plastic nylon is placed at the end of the nut. When tightened, the nylon portion locks into the threads of the screws, but does not get cut, allowing the nylon nut to be reused.

We carry nylon lock nuts in both standard and metric sizes. We also carry them in the NE, NM, NTM, NTE, NTU, and NU pattern. Whether you need a standard or custom size, KD Fasteners has a solution for you.
